We're Tyler and Auburn,
two people who fell in love and never stopped chasing memories together.
Growing up, Tyler's family found their happy place in the water. Auburn and her family connected over their adventures, too. For us, the ocean has always slowed life down and made everything feel right.
When we got married, we were determined to carry our family’s traditions of creating lasting experiences together forward, especially when it came to our time spent on the coast. We want to make the most of every opportunity to build memories — not wait for them.
Then came our little Rylie,
and our purpose got bigger.
She is the center of our universe and brings the sunshine to our lives. When we brought her to Kauai’i for the first time, she giggled and shrieked with joy when the waves touched her feet. Watching her felt like discovering our inner child again.
It's no surprise
that when Tyler decided to build a surf apparel brand, the inspiration came from the people and places we loved most. The Nā Pali coast encapsulated everything he wanted Napali to be — a reminder that some feelings and moments are worth holding onto, even when you can't be near the water.
It took two years to find the right fabric.
After months of searching, one night we sat on the bed together surrounded by dozens of fabric swatches, closing our eyes, feeling each one, and waiting for that "click." We each narrowed down the options until there was only one little square left.
That once elusive sample became the foundation of our FlowWeave™ fabric.
We exist to make apparel worthy of the moments that shape us, and to remind people those moments are always worth chasing.

Napali Surf Co.™ is based in Utah. We're a family brand built by Tyler, Auburn, and our daughter Rylie, making things we believe in from our home state for people who live for the coast wherever they can find it.
Napali Surf Co.™ takes its name from the Nā Pali coast of Kauaʻi, the stretch of green cliffs hugging the Pacific that became the Murray family's most cherished place on earth. When Tyler set out to build a surf apparel brand, that coastline captured exactly what he wanted Napali to stand for: the feeling of being somewhere so good you'd carry it with you long after you've left.
We make premium surf apparel built around fabric that feels as good as the moments you wear it in. Our first collection launches with the Signature FlowWeave™ Tee in men's and women's cuts, with more styles and colors coming as we grow.
We care about the choices we make, and our fabric is a good example of that.
FlowWeave™ is made from micro modal, a plant-based fiber derived from beech tree pulp. It uses a fraction of the water conventional cotton requires, comes from a naturally renewable source, and breaks down at the end of its life in a way most synthetics never will.
We chose it because it's the most comfortable fabric we've ever felt. The fact that it's a better choice for the environment made it an easy decision to stand behind.
We're a small, bootstrapped brand at the beginning of a long journey. We'll keep making thoughtful choices as we grow.
